City Hall scandal

Dear fellow tax hikers, there is so much scandal at Cincinnati City Hall we don't know where to begin.  For once we are actually speechless and suffering writer's block because it's hard to keep it all straight.  To compensate, we'll list the scandals and let you loyal readers take it from there.

- Cincinnati administrators withheld a memo from City Council and the public that was critical of the excellent Cincinnati parking deal.  It says the city is paying far too much in fees for the services they are receiving.

- Cincinnati paid over $300,000 for this consultant, only to suppress his findings.

- The Port Authority first tried to delay the memo's release, then said they wish they had seen it sooner, then drew upon their vast expertise in the parking industry to declare that this $300,000 consultant was wrong.

- The Port Authority refused to allow a Cincinnati City Councilman into their offices to deliver a letter about the growing scandal.

- Later it came out that the Port Authority's Vice President accused the city of lying about the parking deal all along and wondered why the Port was involved.

- Oh yeah, now the Port wants a mere $27 million from this parking deal for their own projects.   Roxanne Qualls, naturally, supports this.

There it is.  If you need the links they're easy enough to find.  Take it away tax hikers.  We've got a box of Twinkies to devour.

The real scandal is that those clowns at 700 Walnut aren't fielding a candidate for mayor and aren't even trying to obtain a council majority.

Scandal, schmandal. It's Friday! It's the weekend. It's time for golf. It's time for beer.

Exposing corruption and scandal is someone else's job.

    Isn't it?

Who cares? We just show up to get drunk and do some profitable networking.

  4. Boss says we mustn't talk about this to anyone. It would be racist and mean-spirited to make any fuss over something like this. We've got bigger fish to fry with all these township races anyway.

Any Republican who criticizes any part of the parking plan developed solely for the benefit of the public by those dedicated public servants Mark Mallory and Milton Dohoney will be branded a racist. Again.

A Republican legislator from Warren County got indicted today.

We can't talk about anything Democrats do now. We have no right whatsoever to criticize them. We are, however, trying to be even better than the Democrats at demanding the representative step down.

Remember, the purpose of the Republican Party is to make nice with the Democrats and condemn our own members even more forcefully than the opposition does.

I don't see anything wrong with this picture. Say, anyone know why my friends from Turkey don't return my calls anymore?

  11. Why does every entry on this blog have to have comments about Colerain Township?

  12. We're not really sure what the heck to do right now because those fat cats at the port help keep the lights on down here. Maybe we can keep paying it both ways like Boss Alex keeps telling us to. Man I just don't know. Things were so much simpler when I was working for the real democrats.

  13. Game over, wingnuts. We won. You lost. Get over it. Our parking system is getting a huge makeover to allow the city to provide better government services more efficiently and too bad for the suburban slobs in COAST your nearly-free ride at the parking meters is nearly over. That's what all the hissy-fit was all about anyway.

You've been as successful at this as you've been at stopping the streetcar. On the other hand, the people of Cincinnati sure have a great track record of stopping you!!

Please don't ask why the Port Authority needs $27 million to operate after that wildly successful deal we brokered for that Crate and Barrel in Kenwood.

People can also google "Cranley Soros" and learn about the long-standing ties between John Cranley and liberal mega-donor George Soros. Can't believe the Republicans on the west side are lining up behind a Soros-backed guy. Cranley is a wolf in sheep's clothing.
