Dear fellow tax hikers, we are very happy to report that our Ohio Republican Party (ORP) refused to endorse three evil conservative Republican State Representatives for re-election. Normally the ORP automatically endorses all its incumbents, but something had to be done to send a message to conservatives that they aren't welcome anymore.
The three unendorsed lawmakers are Southwest Ohio Reps Ron Maag and John Becker, along with Ron Hood who conducts his treachery elsewhere in the state. They are more devoted to their constituents and conservative principles than they are to the political machine and Statehouse lobbyists. And for that, they must be punished.
The Ohio House GOP Caucus requested to the ORP that these three not be endorsed. They did recommend that State Rep. Peter Beck, who is under indictment on 69 felony charges, receive the endorsement. That makes sense to us.
If Beck was indicted for 70 or 71 felonies we might have had a problem, but as long as he's a 69er we'll be with him.
However our ORP Chairman Matt Borges, himself a convicted criminal with numerous tax liens, decided that Beck should not be endorsed. You know, maybe we were wrong to support Beck. Thank goodness we have Chairman Borges to serve as our moral authority. Either way, we are very proud of the Republican Party for putting conservatives in their place.

Chairman-Elect Matt Borges
Dear fellow tax hikers, the Culture of Corruption is back! Convicted criminal and serial tax cheat Matt Borges has been elected the Chairman of the Ohio Republican Party. We are delighted to have a Chairman of such strong character. Thank you everyone for your hard work making it happen!
We give special thanks to Former Congressman Bob McEwen for seconding Matt's nomination. We knew we could count on him. This gave cover to some of those Tea Party people who were hesitant to back Borges and helped contribute to his overwhelming margin of victory. We also thank Rob Portman, John Boehner, John Kasich, Mike DeWine, Jon Husted, Dave Yost, and Josh Mandel for doing the right thing by endorsing this professional tax dodger.
Chairman Borges stated that the party needs to do a better job of reaching out to the grassroots. Our website would like to contribute to the discussion.
We ask all of you tax hikers to give Matt your advice. In the comments section, tell the Chairman what you think he should do for our Republican Party. We promise to personally deliver this input to him when we attend his swearing-in ceremony. Welcome aboard Chairman Borges!

Rigged vote for Matt Borges?
Dear fellow tax hikers, we received the following insider email about possible efforts to rig the vote for Matt Borges at Friday's Ohio Republican State Central Committee meeting:
Since last years Presidential election we learned many different ways scammers were able to cast more than one vote. As it relates to the Ohio Republican Party, chairman Bob Bennett is worried his hand picked candidate Matt Borges is in trouble, especially since elected officials that once endorsed Borges are beginning to defect. Insiders believe Bennett has devised a scheme where at this Fridays Central Committee meeting, he will first call for a vote to allow “proxy voting”. If passed, this would permit attending members to cast more than one vote on behalf of another either not present or too afraid to be seen. You heard it first here, Bennett wants to allow a single person, presumably his allies to vote several times for Matt Borges. It was Kevin DeWine that perfected the use of telephone voting with no questions or rebuttal that got Dave Yost endorsed, so it makes perfect sense Bennett would take ballot box stuffing to a whole new level.
Anyone care to comment? We don't understand why more people don't trust a convicted criminal who has accumulated numerous tax liens.

Tom Noe for ORP Finance Chair
Dear fellow tax hikers, we proudly endorse convicted felon Tom Noe for Ohio Republican Party Finance Chairman. There he would serve under the soon-to-be Chairman Matt Borges, himself a convicted criminal and known tax cheat.
Coingate hero Tom Noe worked with Bob Taft, Betty Montgomery, and many others to use Ohio tax dollars as a personal ATM:
Noe is highly qualified to be Finance Chairman. He is an expert at getting money from other people, legally or illegally. While he would have to perform his duties from behind prison bars, that's ok, because Mr. Noe is that damn good!
If one of the top reasons we endorsed Borges for Chairman is to appeal to the criminal voting bloc, Noe's selection as Finance head would allow us to double-down on that theme. Convicted criminals are a highly reliable voting bloc for the Democrats and that has got to change. Ask yourself - if you were a convicted criminal and saw Borges and Noe in high-ranking GOP leadership positions, wouldn't you want to vote Republican? For these reasons and many more, we proudly endorse convicted felon Tom Noe for Ohio Republican Party Finance Chairman.

A jury found Noe guilty in 2006 of 29 charges of corruption, theft, money laundering, and of tampering with records for the theft of millions of dollars from two $25 million rare-coin funds he managed for the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation. He was found not guilty on 11 other charges, and several others were dismissed or consolidated.
Former Common Pleas Court Judge Thomas Osowik sentenced Noe to 18 years in state prison and ordered him to pay $13,747,000 in restitution, the cost of prosecution totaling $2,979,402, and $139,000 in fines.

Matt Borges Week
Dear fellow tax hikers, welcome to Matt Borges Week at Republicans for Higher Taxes! Victory is so close we can taste it. We are going to work overtime to ensure that our favorite criminal is elected this Friday to be the new Ohio Republican Party Chairman.
We have endorsed Matt Borges because he is a convicted criminal who we believe can return our party to the high-taxing, Culture of Corruption days we enjoyed under Bob Taft, Tom Noe, and Betty Montgomery. Also, having a criminal in charge of the party will immensely help our efforts to lure the convicted criminal vote into the GOP.
In recent days some elected officials have expressed concern about Matt's tax liens. We must admit, as a high-tax movement we naturally don't like it when people don't pay their taxes. But we are delighted to learn that Matt has started paying off those taxes since the liens went public.

Tax cheat Matt Borges
Dear fellow tax hikers, this weekend we learned that our endorsed candidate for Ohio Republican Party Chairman Matt Borges is a tax cheat in addition to being a convicted criminal. On Friday the Dayton Daily News originally reported that Borges owed a staggering $493,624 in federal taxes and $98,397 in state taxes.
Later, the DDN reported that due to an error Borges owes "only" $168,161 in federal taxes and expects to have the state bill reduced too. He previously had tax liens in 1999 and 2004.
On the eve of our favorite day of the year, Tax Day, we are struggling to make sense of this. We have no problem with Matt Borges being a convicted criminal. In fact, we think it's kind of sexy. But can we, Republicans for Higher Taxes, excuse someone for not paying their taxes?
We have decided to stand behind our endorsement. Being Matt Borges means never having to obey the law. Just ask Rob Portman, John Kasich, John Boehner, Mike DeWine, Josh Mandel, Dave Yost, and 2010 Tax Hiker of the Year Jon Husted, all of whom have excused Borges' ongoing inability to follow the law. If they don't care about good citizenship, why should we?
We still believe Matt Borges is the best choice to return the GOP back the high-tax, Culture of Corruption days we enjoyed under the legendary Bob Taft and Betty Montgomery. But we would like Matt to get those taxes paid soon. Lots of us welfare recipients are depending on it.

Stan Chesley for ORP Legal Counsel
Dear fellow tax hikers, we are dismayed to learn that our favorite attorney Stan Chesley has been disbarred by the Kentucky Supreme Court. Chesley has been a huge supporter of higher taxes and many big government programs, as well as a major benefactor to ethical politicians like Bill Clinton, Jean Schmidt, Tracy Winkler, and Joe Deters.
We at Republicans for Higher Taxes are always sad when our friends get caught doing bad things. But no matter Chesley's ethical problems, we have already found him a new job.
We strongly endorse Stan Chesley for Ohio Republican Party (ORP) Legal Counsel. With the ORP poised to select criminal Matt Borges as ORP Chairman, we need to double-down on the outlaw theme.
Our party can make a serious play for the criminal vote, now largely Democratic, by selecting individuals such as Borges and Chesley to important positions. Matt Borges for ORP Chairman
Dear fellow tax hikers, we strongly endorse convicted criminal Matt Borges to be the next Chairman of the Ohio Republican Party (ORP). Only by uniting behind a convicted criminal can we Republicans finally prove to Ohioans that we are the party that can be trusted to guide our state and nation.

The new Republican Party has to reach out to voters who typically vote Democratic - such as blacks, Jews, Muslims, and convicted criminals.
