Great work team!

Friends,

Thank you all so much for all the work you did to select Virgil Lovitt for State Representative! We have succeeded in convincing the Hamilton County Republican Party's Screening Committee to recommend our man Virg to be appointed as our candidate for State Representative.

If you support raising taxes and endorse Democrats for County Commissioner, you will get the backing of the Hamilton County Republican Party. Why should the Republican Party ever resort to nominating a candidate who supports other Republicans? That is not how we do business anymore.

Now that Virgil has been chosen we expect everyone to get behind him. He is a great Republican who supports higher taxes and Todd Portune. If you don't support Virgil, then you aren't a loyal Republican.

We don't want the Democrats to take over the State House and raise our taxes. We want to make sure the Republicans get to do it themselves. Virgil Lovitt for State Rep.

This is the best news I've heard since we convinced the Republican leadership to support raising the sales tax last year. I hope the Republican Party gets behind Virgil Lovitt with the intensity that our sheriff Simon Leis showed in the jail tax debate. If we had more people working that hard, Virg will win easily.

I hope all the other Republican city council members, mayors and township trustees take note of this: the best way to get the Republican Party's backing for your quest for higher office is to endorse Democrats and support tax hikes.

Certain fringe elements of the Republican Party (you know who you are) that worked against our leaders on the jail tax need to start atoning for your sins and get behind Viril Lovitt. It's also not too late to show some goodwill and support other Democrats like O'Dell Owens, Steve Brinker (who is running against our heretical treasurer), and Norma Holt Davis (running against the odious Pat DeWine). Remember, what slim chance you have of being supported by the party in the future can only be helped by endorsing Democrats and tax increases.

This is the happiest day of my political career. You da man, Virg!

Ronald Reagan had it all wrong. YOu don't remove the shackles of taxes and investment from corporations and individuals. You make it tougher to do business in the USA (tougher in Ohio), and dig deeper into the taxpayers' pockets. You add layers of bureaucratic red tape to every investment attempt by business, and also take every dime you can from hard-working Americans. Yeah, that's the ticket. Al Gore, John Kerry, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama know how to jump-start an economy.

Anonymous #2 you are so right! Ronald Reagan was a lousy President because he failed to understand the need to raise taxes on America's working citizens. His work set this country back decades.

Yes we experienced tremendous economic growth during his era, but that was a coincidence and had nothing to do with his destructive policies. Other things accounted for this growth.

Just like the Hamilton County Republican Party, we at Republicans for Higher Taxes realize Ronald Reagan was wrong. Lower taxes and limited government are bad for our people. We will continue working with the Hamilton County Republican Party to raise taxes and expand government. Thank you for your support!
