Pamula Thomas wavers on streetcar

Dear fellow tax hikers, as we are putting together the 5 votes necessary to authorize at least another $17 million for our beloved Cincinnati Streetcar, we have been presented with the news that Councilman Pamula Thomas is undecided on this important decision.  There is no need to panic.  We own her vote and she WILL be voting for these funds.

Councilman Thomas knows that she is not allowed to make up her own mind.  She was placed on Council with explicit instructions to blindly obey Mayor Mark Mallory and Roxanne Qualls and that's exactly what she's going to do.  Nobody is allowing her to make up her own mind.

Besides, her stated concerns are all unjustified.  For example, there is this passage from the WLWT article:
She expressed her concern again Thursday about making sure taxpayers aren't burdened by the project and questioned the long-term viability of what's planned.
This is not a burden for the taxpayers.  If money is ever short, the answer is easy - just raise taxes!
"Another concern is the ridership and the sustainability of the streetcar," Thomas said. "How is it going to sustain itself?"
We don't care about no stinkin' ridership!  If the streetcar can't sustain itself, we'll just raise taxes to cover the operations shortfall.

Councilman Thomas knows that her concerns are invalid.  The streetcar is not a burden and taxes can always be raised.  We endorse this streetcar, no matter the cost.  And Pamula Thomas feels the same way, because that is the position she has been ordered to take.

Who cares what this council does? When is the next happy hour?

Can't we just have it both ways all the time? Like when I get chili from one of the many fabulous chili places in the area (I can't say which place because they are all my favorite, have to be fair here people). I order everything on the menu just to make sure I cover all my bases and so I can leave the serverperson a big fat tip. Then I take them to go and then stop by one of the many fine homeless shelters in our area to share with the currently displaced. It makes me feel all warm and tingly inside to know I can help my fell person.

It's about time this blog started paying attention to the tax-and-spend DemocRATS in Cincinnati and leave us hard-working, fiscally-responsible, patriotic, conservatives alone.

No streetcars for us. The old man always tells me to spend money on parks. Wonder why.

Who cares about the streetcar in Cincinnati? I am running for Colerain Township Trustee because they took my part-time job away that I used to play away at summer camp. They also told me I was the only one who knew how to run the audio-visual equipment in the park, and they wouldn't hire me back once I declared my campaign for Trustee. THAT IS POLITICAL BULLYING AND IS TOTALLY OUTRAGEOUS. I mean, it's totally cool that Obama uses the IRS to harass the Tea Party and uses the NSA to spy on his fellow Americans, but the total outrage is that I can't spend my summer at summer camp again.

We had to edit the above comment before posting. Don't make insinuations involving kids. Make your points in other ways.

This article is dangerously close to libel.

Boy, it's too bad we can't get our good friend Tracy Winkler to hide that Insco guy's records on her website. We love this guy because his friend is our former club president's step-daughter, and you know how we feel about family here in good old Green Township. Sure, he's running against two loyal Republicans in Colerain, but what do we care about party loyalty, and what do we care about Colerain Township? Take care of family first! That's our motto in Green Township.

I am confused. What the hell are you people even talking about?

Vince, stay out of Sycamore. You're running in Symmes. Did anyone notice that huge tax we managed get the voters to buy into by telling them only the lowlifes who worked at Kenwood Towne Centre would have to pay it. Since we in Sycamore are too good to work in retail, not that many of our citizens have to pay it. If that streetcar ran out to Kenwood, all those ghetto folk would be able to get a job out here and pay our taxes for us.

Oh is it Symmes? Hell I have no clue.

Pamoola turned out to be even more worthless than her sad sack slumlord husband. At least Cecil knew how to take orders from Boss Burke. If Pamoola thinks abstaining is going to spare her from the embarrassment of being on the wrong side of history with this piece of crap streetcar she has another thought coming.
