Dave Yost endorsement policy

Dear fellow tax hikers, last night we received a comment from one of our readers, directed at Ohio Auditor Dave Yost, that caught our attention:

way to go Dave, set a great example of integrity by endorsing in a primary for an open seat, something a statewide elected official almost never does, and then endorsing a candidate whose books your office is responsible for auditing.

You don't allow the people who work for you to so much as put a sign on their lawn to support a political candidate whose books you'll be responsible for auditing but then you go ahead and stick your nose in this election. Do as I say, not as I do, right Mr. Auditor?

Way to go Dave, flush all that integrity you worked so hard to build up the past 4 years, and for an over-the-hill, big-spending, old white guy. Dave helps put the "Old" in "Grand Old Party."

We ask you, our loyal readers, to share with us any information you might have about this issue.  Does Auditor Yost limit Auditor employees from getting involved in political races?  Is Dave Yost violating his own policy by endorsing a Councilman in a State Representative race?

Contact us by email if you don't want to leave a public comment.  Confidentiality will be protected.  We thank all you tax hikers in advance for your help.

I just do whatever I darn well please, and whatever I think works for me. Does anyone remember when I was going to challenge Mike DeWine for the Attorney General nomination? Remember when I said Mike wasn't a good conservative. Good times.

Although Rick shared this endorsement on his Facebook, it's not listed here for some reason. Maybe "The Chef" needs to get on the stick.

You know, hypocrisy is a Greek word.

Dave and all the professionals in Columbus had a good laugh today at the expense of the Desperate Dever folks who are really grasping at straws on this blog. We also got the folks at the state party on the phone and shared a few chuckles with them. I'm sure this will be shared by many at the State of the State speech tonight in Medina when we're all driving up and back and having a few drinks somewhere along the way.

What's worse, you losers, being left out or being ridiculed?

You Dever people are the absolute laughingstocks of the Republican Party right now. Please do us all a favor and get out of the race before you embarrass yourself and your political party any more so than you already have done.

Sorry "Columbus" Confidential, but it's Rick Bryan and Blue Ash City Council that is being embarrassed - nationally - for their insensitive, narrow-minded decision to remove a service animal from the home of a disabled girl. It's time for Rick Bryan, for once in his life, to show some leadership and fix this problem.

Now that we have so many "Columbus" people reading this blog, does anyone know if former Dave Yost campaign manager Matt Borges has paid all his tax liens?

In addition to previously hiring an unethical campaign manager and offering political support to a politician whose books he is supposed to be auditing, Dave Yost has also not been doing his regular job. Seems he forgot to pay any attention to taxpayer-funded charter schools.

How very typical of this blog to engage in Republican-on-Republican fighting while ignoring the problems with the other party. You have to be on the Democrats' payroll. No one else would attack his own political allies just for fun.

I think "Lifelong" meant to say RINO versus Republican.

Thanks to blogs like this, I am more confident than ever of an electoral sweep this fall for the Democrats. Your party's war on women and the governor's war on teachers, police and firefighters are helping us as it is, but the Republican war on each other is what's really helpful. I was very optimistic about my party's chances this fall, then we went and nominated some real turkeys. But you guys give me hope. Keep up the good work!!!
