Musuem costs increase $11 million

Dear fellow tax hikers, an outside expert has concluded that the costs to renovate Union Terminal and Music Hall have increased $10.7 million.  Last month the legendary Cultural Facilities Task Force, led by PR expert Bob McDonald, claimed project costs would be $331.7 million before interest.

One month later, the cost is now $342.4 million.  No big deal.  We encourage Hamilton County Commissioners to simply increase the length of the Sales Tax increase so that we can fully cover these overruns.

Raising taxes is how we show we care.  The more we increase taxes, the more we care.  We are happy to learn of this $10.7 million overrun.  We hope it won't be the last.

Don't look to us for any leadership on this or any other matter. We are banking on the stupid voters in Colerain to keep us on the public dole until 2028 at the earliest.

Will the real Greg Hartmann please stand up, or at least speak from the same orifice. I have trouble keeping track of Greg's support for this new tax as a commissioner or candidate.

I graduated from West Point. So don't you dare question my tax increase.

What happened to the money we gave you in the past three levies that were supposed to fix the Museum Center?

We told you delay would increase the costs so it's no surprise that delaying one month increase the costs. More delay, more costs, give us the money now!

I guess this means more swanky fundraisers where I can display my awesomeness for all to see.

All normal people support this tax increase. The only ones who don't are extremist nutjobs like the neophyte carpetbagger who is unfortunately the Republican nominee for the Ohio House of Representatives.

I know you guys haven't heard from me in a while but I am so excited about this tax increase I just might fire off another 28-paragraph diatribe against anyone who dares to have a different point of view. Because I am a progressive. And we are so much more gosh darn tolerant than anyone who isn't a left-winger like me.
