Dear fellow tax hikers, Congressman Steve Chabot has offended us once again. This time, his offense is to announce that he will continue his efforts to ban federal funding for the Cincinnati streetcar. We will not tolerate this vile behavior anymore. We call on a pro-streetcar Republican - perhaps our good friend Simon Leis or Sean Donovan - to take out Chabot in 2014.
Chabot said: "With a national debt exceeding $16 trillion, we should not be wasting
our scarce resources on a streetcar line which, despite an expected
price tag in excess of $120 million, is not projected to significantly
improve our community’s transportation problems."
We think spending $120 million on a streetcar line that does little to improve our transportation is a perfectly fine investment! Our Urban Hipsters deserve this streetcar, and the rest of the country deserves to pay for it.
What is wrong with Chabot? The City of Cincinnati is jeopardizing its financial future to get this streetcar built. The City of Blue Ash, led by superstar Councilperson Tax Hikin' Rick Bryan, put their own interests in jeopardy to help Cincinnati fund their streetcar. We call on Congressman Steve Chabot to sacrifice the nation's best interests to give these privileged Urbanists something for themselves.

You know I am as fed up with Chabot as I am with Monzel. I may drop my challenge to Monzel in 2014 and take out Chabot instead. With my vast experience at winning difficult races, nobody will stop the Jimbo train.
I am totally salivating over working on a Congressional campaign yet again. I can't wait to do for Jim Sumner or Sean Donovan what I did for Jean Schmidt through my expert campaign consultin' service.
Our checkbook will be open as it always is for our tax-hiking friends such as Rick Bryan and Bill Seitz. Jim, we'd love to see you get in this race.
If only those moronic COASTers knew where we put our money, we'd probably never get an invite to their Christmas party ever again.
I will continue to fight for the streetcar long after I leave the Sheriff's office.
Tom,
How do you pull off this whole political double-talk thing? Financially supporting excellent tax hikers while maintaining open lines of communications with those mean and nasty conservatives? I mean, I try to have it both ways all the time and it never seems to work. Like the time I was president of a Republican organization and was caught attacking the senior Republican on City Council. Or the time I left a Republican City Councilmember's staff to manage a Democrat's campaign. Or the time I spent blasting other Republicans who opposed the Super-Sized Jail Tax, while pretending I was actually neutral on it, despite the gigantic sign in favor of it in my front yard. Or all the times I said other people were blogging from their mommy's basements all day, even though I lived in a home my mother owned while they lived in homes they owned themselves. Or the time I said I wasn't a politician even though anyone in Madeira who knew how to use Google could easily learn about my political staff work, my wife's political staff work, and my three previous failed political campaigns.
You, sir, are the master at political double-talk. I wish I could learn from you. You make me very "Madeira Proud" of your success.
With some of the east side and all of Warren County in the 1st Congressional District now, perhaps we need to look at another person for Congress and not a west sider anymore.
Damn that Chabot! I need the streetcar now more than ever - mostly due to the drivers license suspension from my recent DUI.
Good thing my dumbass bosses at the Cincinnati Business Courier haven't found out!
Did y'all see me criticize that insolent bastard Christopher Smitherman for attending a Christmas Party with some white people without first clearing it with the local Democratic Party?
Who cares if Chris Smitherman came to a COAST event? They're all a bunch of racists anyway. We are too busy noting the "fact" that the Republicans just appointed their first Black Senator from the South in over 130 years. We haven't had time to see how many African-American Democrats have been elected to the Senate from southern states in that time. It's probably a huge number because Democrats are so much kinder, caring, and compassionatie than those hate-filled, gun-loving, anti-woman evil racist loser Republicans.
The GOP is racist. As evidence by the Indian-American female Republican Governor of South Carolina appointed an African-American Republican to be the country's only Black Senator. It's racism! And homophobia.
And that's exactly the way report the news, Rachel, just like you tell us to. We watch your TiVO'd performances at our staff meetings every day, just to make sure we're on the same page as you and Piers Morgan at CNN. We have interns surf the Daily Kos for other material. Plunderbund is huge for us with statehouse information. Can you believe that idiot bigot Kasich who wants to let people bring guns into the Statehouse garage? Do you have any idea how many crimes were stopped by that "No Guns" sign? And can you believe Chabot stopping funds for the streetcar? Clearly that's more racial hatred from the right-wing angry Republicans.
There's no high-speed rail in Ohio, so I am hopping in my Beemer and driving off to Columbus to begin a long life of living off taxpayer expense just like the old man before me. Smell ya later, suckers!
Hmmm... maybe being from Colerain Township and all, I should use a different saying. That Rumpke Mountain gets in the old nostrils a little and well, let's just say it's not pretty.
That Rachel Maddow guy isth pretty thexthy.
