Latest attack against Seelbach

Dear fellow tax hikers, we are appalled at the recent homophobic attack against City Council Member Chris Seelbach, a City Council Member on City Council.  Earlier today Council Member Seelbach walked to his car and had to suffer the following indignity:

This is obviously an attempt to intimidate Council Member Seelbach because he is openly gay and supports our beloved Cincinnati Streetcar.  It couldn't possibly be a random act from a street punk making a joke that perhaps someone driving a tiny "smart car" the size of my first tricycle might also have a tiny one.

We strongly condemn this act of homophobia.  We encourage Council Member Chris Seelbach to keep courageously using his position as a Council Member to advocate for the streetcar, and to show people how cool it is to drive a car that might weigh less than several local bon vivants

Ugh. Clearly the work of one of those uncouth fat, smelly, disgusting, inbred west siders.

Are we sure this wasn't someone who just had a case of buyer's remorse after meeting the Seal at a local bar?

Absolutely not! There is no possible way the "Seal" could ever be involved in anything untoward.

He is in a committed relationship, the kind we strongly believe should be recognized as a legitimate marriage. Most gay couples are shining exemplars of commitment in our book. We should know. Do you have any idea how many of us are on second or third marriages?

No, this personal insult directed at our good friend Chris Seelbach is clearly the work of a homophobic bigoted Tea Partier who opposes the streetcar.

That's our narrative and we're sticking to it.

This is clearly the hateful work of a homophobic right-wing Jesus Freak Tea Partier. No one else is capable of such hate speech.

It was definitely intimidation. The angry constituent went out on possibly the worst-weather day of the year, traveled into OTR/downtown to find Seelbach's 20-pound car, and then scribbled "tiny cock" into the snow on his windshield.

Oh yeah, that's what you do when you want to intimidate someone. Good call Councilman.

Uh, come on guys, this obviously says tiny COOK, a reference to Brokebach's diminutive personal chef.

Poor Chrissy Squeelbach has had his feelings hurt after his candidate lost, he missed out on a committee chairmanship and his beloved streetcar is going up in smoke. It's been a rough few weeks, aside from his surprisingly strong 5th place showing in his council re-election. Chrissy knows he will not be the face of the streetcar petition drive and he has to create attention for himself. This was a false flag operation. You can tell because the words are too well-preserved that the picture had to be taken so soon after.

Incidents like this offer more evidence that the Republican Party needs to become the party that supports gay rights and public transit, in addition to trying to out-Democrat the Democrats on abortion, gun control, amnesty for undocumented workers, deficit spending and so many other hot-button issues. We need to purge the tea party, the social conservatives, the gun nuts, the right-to-lifers, the taxpayer watchdogs and all of the other haters from the GOP. Then and only then can we truly become the majority party.

Please refrain my associating my name with this individual, especially one who is considered not so well endowed. I have a reputation to uphold.

You notice in all of his whining about this on twitter that he never gets around to denying the allegation?

You city folk don't know how to do politics the right way like we do in Colerain. In Colerain, when we have issues with a political opponent, we create fake email accounts and write very long diatribes under our fake name. In this missive, we are sure to claim that every person who has ever dealt with our opponent does not support him (or her, oh who am I kidding, especially her) and to even criticize the family members of our opponent.

When that doesn't work, create a PAC full of respected community leaders, then claim that because of political intimidation these wise community leaders who have no political agenda cannot divulge their names. Then, you print up political handouts that look almost exactly like your opponents in an attempt to confuse the voters.

We have the added bonus of being covered by exactly one minor-league news outlet but whose editor is a major-league friend of ours. She makes sure no one finds out about any of this. So, please, keep your mouths shut about this.

My fat ass could never fit in that car. Neither could my morbidly obese wife.

But Tom, you forgot the best part of our plan, which is the intimidation factor. That is, if by "intimidation" you mean dumping a pile of nails in our opponents' supporters driveways when they have the gall to spread lies about our opponents. And by "lies" I mean "statements made under oath in a court of law."

I feel like everyone has forgotten about me. Where is there any sympathy for all the attacks I endured?

At least Seelbach's car works. Now my damn Audi 5000 is headed back to the shop, again.
