Republicans for Higher Taxes refuses to support Steve Chabot for Congress. Chabot is perhaps this nation's worst Congressman on our pet issues of raising taxes and raise spending due to his refusal to support tax increases and big spending hikes.
Chabot has voted against all tax increases that we are aware of and strongly supported the tax breaks that middle class families enjoy today. He voted against George Bush's Bailout Bill for Wall Street Billionaires. He opposed George Bush's massive Medicare expansion. He opposes Barack Obama's tax increases and is often a pest to our allies with his opposition to many earmarks.
For this Chabot has earned support from the National Taxpayers Union and Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW). Shockingly, Chabot has the highest lifetime ranking from CAGW of any current member of Congress. This is unacceptable. Until Chabot starts wasting government money, he will not be eligible for our support.
Our incoming President Barack Obama needs Congressmen who will implement his agenda of higher taxes and spending. Chabot's opposition to Democratic tax increases and Republican spending binges make him an unacceptable choice to serve in Congress.

we need more people like jean Schmidt and Virgil Lovitt representing us in Washington and Columbus. They've never met a tax hike they didn't vote for and that's all I need to know.
Good call. If we elect Steve Driehaus, we know he'll vote for Barack Obama's tax increases.
Nice work. After this election is over, and the rabid anti-taxers get what's coming to them, this blog needs to start full-on exposes of the Enemies of the State still left in office.
Since COAST and Chris Finney are such Obama supporters, and such devoted partners with the NAACP, no wonder you're so happy about Obama's prospects.
Eugene (origial)
Eugene, the ingrates at COAST endorsed anti-tax John McCain. But we know better. Our vision has shown the Republican Party the way things should be. By supporting great tax-and-spenders like Barack Obama, Virgil Lovitt, and Jean Schmidt, we will transform the Republican Party into it's true pro-tax destiny!
I can assure Eugene that COAST does not support Obama. I'm not sure why you are upset about COAST partnering with NAACP on issues that we both agree. The "C" in COAST stands for Coallition and has since we started about 10 years ago in a partnership with the Black Baptist Ministers. It's nice to find commonalities with a broad spectrum of political agendas and work towards that. While we may not agree on many things, why would you cast aside an ally?
