Ohio Democratic Party Chairman David A. Pepper, who is the most ethical almost-Attorney General in our nation's history and is as pure as the winter snow, would never condone such behavior. To demonstrate his strong opposition to corruption, Pepper has issued the following statement:
Another known bribe recipient is a Cincinnati elected official between 2005-2008, though the feds have not released the name. We ask our loyal readers, do you know who this person is?
This blog has always been a strong supporter of red light cameras. We don't care whether they improve public safety, we support these cameras because they are revenue machines and represent another method of extracting money from the commoners.
If we have to engage in bribery to get these cameras up, we are all for it. Like Chairman Pepper, we will not condemn Ginther and the unnamed Cincinnati official for taking bribes - the only thing they did wrong was getting caught.

The Franklin County, Hamilton County and Ohio Republican Parties also had this to say:

Glad to see they condone bribery and corruption too. Maybe they're hiding because it's their favorite Democrats who are getting caught. Columbus and Cincinnnati cities are virtually all-Democrat thanks to th political ineptitude of these organizations.
Once again, some commoners get caught trying to act like the nobility. Leave politics to the people that come from the right families and only let the right people marry into theirs.
Oh you leave Andrew and my David alone. Neither of them did anything wrong.
We must unite to fight the real enemy - Mike DeWine. David says Mike is evil. There's nothing wrong with a little bribery when Democrats do it.
Darn right we aren't doing or saying anything. We will let this scandal bring down the Democrat Party so we don't have to do any work ourselves. We know our good friends in the news media will hamaker the Dems.
I'd send a press release, but that might upset my good friend Tim Burke. And besides, there isn't anyone here at HQ competent enough to write a press release. Just get back to doing what you do, and I'll get back to losing seats to my good friend Tim Burke.
That's right. Boss Alex says we shouldn't ever attack our friends in the other party. Those Wacky Tea Party nut jobs are an entirely different matter.
With all those fools in the GOP taking the summer off, we are out hustling and organizing for 2016. The latest polls show our efforts are paying off... And so are the Republicans' "efforts." Fore!
Ugh! As if! Don't trifle me with any of this political stuff as I have a very important reception to go dress-shopping for. Keep those fat, smelly, disgusting, inbred westsiders away from me!
Can someone offer a bribe to Colerain politicians to make the landfill go away?
Game over, wing nuts. Your attempts to make a Democrat look corrupt come up short. Again. Just like the HOP's 20-year crusade against the Clintons, this one is coming up empty too.
Our Golden Boy Ginther denied it and it's clear our reporting to date has hurt his feelings. Our work here is done.
Well Ginther denied the bribery so we can all just move on. LOL
David Pepper's lack of integrity explains why I supported him in 2006.

I should have tried to bribe Jonathan Dever and those damn conservative friends of his who STOLE my State Rep seat from me!
It sure would be fun to make some public records demands here. Since it doesn't concern Colerain, however, neither my patrons nor I have any interest in the matter. It is truly and honor and privilege to pick up where my good friend Kathy Mohr left off when her addiction to oublic records requests nearly cost her a cushy job in county government.
Is bribery as popular in City Hall as I am in my own district?
After we are done caving on the Confederate Flag and giving Obama everything he wants on a secret trade pact, can we start collecting bribes from the people who bribe Democrats?
How is this any different from when other big corporations and the Koch Brothers bribe Republicans?
Should I continue to tell everyone I know to vote for Ginther? Nothing wrong with a little bribery. Vote for Democratic bribers!
It's illegal to bribe a Democrat. It's perfectly legal for the Democrat to take the bribe.
Sorry we haven't asked any of these officials' fellow Democrats any questions. We're too busy trying to get Republicans to turn on one another over the Confederate flag.
