Jean Schmidt opposes Food Stamp cuts

Dear fellow tax hikers, we are enormously proud of our Congresswoman Jean Schmidt today as she stood up to her Republican colleagues to fight against cuts to the Food Stamp program.  Food Stamps are a great way to show that yes, there is such thing as a free lunch, and it's the taxpayers who make it "free".

During the Obama Administration the number of Americans on food stamps has risen 44%, up to a record 46 million Americans.  We think that's great and so does Congresswoman Schmidt.

This is our Jean Schmidt at her finest.  Jean voted to raise Income Taxes on all taxpaying Americans.  Jean raised Gas Taxes by 27%.  Jean raised Ohio's Sales Tax by 20%. Jean voted to bail out her billionaire friends on Wall Street, including the parent company of her husband.  Jean held a public makeout session with Our Messiah Barack Obama on national television.  Now she is joining President Obama to defend the expanded welfare state.

It makes us sick to our tax-hiking stomachs that the great Jean Schmidt was defeated by Brad Wenstrup in this March's primary.  We need her tax-and-spend voice on Capitol Hill.  We stand behind Congressman Schmidt 100% as she spends her final few months teaming up with President Obama to defend the expansion of the welfare state.  You go girl!

Way to go Jean! Votes like this are what make me so proud of my decision to donate to Schmidt on October 26th, 2011. It's right up there with my best donations ever, along with Simon Leis and Tax Hikin' Rick Bryan.

The food stamp vote was a payback for me for defending Jean's pathetic record. What can I say? I was hungry and food stamps seemed like a perfect payback. Free Mountain Dew and Cheetos for me!

BROTHER WEIDMAN, I THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR MY CAMPAIGNS OVER THE YEARS. YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT HAS HELPED KEEP ME IN OFFICE TO KEEP RAISING TAXES ON EVERYONE. YOUR TESTIMONY TO KEEP THE ESTATE TAX IN PLACE IN OHIO WAS THE STUFF OF LEGEND IN COLUMBUS.

MY GOOD FRIEND AND FORMER COLLEAGUE IN COLUMBUS CAST A COURAGEOUS VOTE IN STANDING UP TO THE MORE EXTREMIST ELEMENTS IN OUR REPUBLICAN PARTY. WE USED TO DO THAT ALL THE TIME WHEN WE SUPPORTED ALL OF BOB TAFT'S TAX HIKES AND EVIL CONSERVATIVES LIKE TOM BRINKMAN AND KEN BLACKWELL STOOD IN OUR WAY.

WAY TO GO SISTER JEAN, I COULDN'T BE MORE PROUD OF YOU.

Hey did somebody steal my stash of Cheetos and Mountain Dew? I'm not happy about that. At least Jean Schmidt made sure my food stamps will be there if I ever need them.

My morbidly obese wife Tabitha, my psychotically angry friend Jason Stewart Beacraft, and so many others I know would love to be able to get free food from the government so we can spend all our days getting fatter in front of the computer and obsessing over conservative men who will never have us.

As the Executive Director of the Springdale Chamber of Commerce, and as the Daughter of the Mayor The Honorable Doyle Webster, I will see to it to use my tremendous influence with Congresswoman Jean Schmidt to prevent more restaurants from closing!

I am more proud than ever of me and my kid's decision to campaign for Jean Schmidt this year. Her ethical behavior and dedication to big government is a bright light for all of us to admire. Gotta run, I have an important swim meet tomorrow!

It's so funny to see pitifully lame mockeries of impersonation on this web site from a woman who lost three campaigns she managed plus her own city council race, who is running the Chamber of Commerce in a city that is losing business faster than she lost campaigns, who is managing an office park that is losing tenants even faster. It's time to fix your own problems and stop using the internet to fixate anonymously on other people. Perhaps then you could do some of your jobs better.

We got to get our government cheese. They'll turn us all into beggars cause we're easier to please.

This text and these comments appear to be mostly parody, and we get that, but the issue of Jean Schmidt repeatedly voting the wrong way just when her vote matters is one of the key reasons that COASTers and thousands of others rose up against Ms. Schmidt in the primary.

Dating back to her time in Columbus, Ms. Schmidt displayed either a misunderstanding of her role as a conservative legislator, or she knowingly stabbed her constituents in the back and broke her promises.

This commentator personally believes it was a little of both, and her pathological inability to be truthful obscured the latter for her, i.e., she might have actually believed she was a conservative.

In any event, her defeat -- and defeat by a crushing margin -- was welcome news in March. A night we can celebrate for may years to come.

And we appreciate your blog and how it mocks the foibles and treachery of the Republican guard!
