More Springdale businesses close

Julie Matheny, as close as she'll ever get to a seat on City Council

Dear fellow tax hikers, we sadly report that two more businesses in Springdale have closed.  Lucy's and George's Pancake House and Family Dining, and I Buffet, are the latest to bail out of Springdale.  Some would say, who can blame them?

We happen to like Springdale.  We believe their plethora of strip malls and low-dollar housing make this fine city one of Hamilton County's gems.

We do not believe that the high-tax polices of Springdale Mayor Doyle Webster and his daughter, Springdale Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Julie Matheny, are to blame for these business closings.  Just because higher taxes increase their operating costs doesn't mean they are more likely to go out of business.  Who ever heard of higher costs being detrimental to businesses?  Our Messiah Barack Obama doesn't believe this and neither does the Royal First Family of Springdale.

Royal Doyle Webster and Legendary Campaign Expert Matheny have indeed been supporters of higher taxes.  For example, both strongly supported this year's big Princeton School District Property Tax Increase.  The Princeton School District was already spending more money per student than 98% of school districts in Ohio, but that wasn't enough!  Our father-daughter tax hiking team knew that a 6.5 mill tax increase was needed so Princeton can spend even more.

This Royal Doyle/Campaign Expert Matheny tax hike added $197.63 in higher property taxes per $100,000 home value, meaning that the average Springdale homeowner's property tax bill will increase another $95.  Companies have to pay this tax too.  Well, at least the ones who haven't gone out of business.

Now you guys know why I was so proud to have Julie Matheny manage my campaign for state representative, and why I've supported some of your other favorites such as Bill Seitz, Jean Schmidt, and Rick Bryan.

Fewer places for Campaign Expert Matheny and I to plot our brilliant campaign strategies. Of course, with our track record, we have fewer campaigns to manage.

Hey that's not fair comparing me and my daughter's high-tax policies to Barack Obama's high-tax policies. When I raise taxes it's good for business because I'm Royal Doyle Webster and I know everything!

Sorry to hear about all these restaurants closing. I hope that means there's more room for retail, especially for clothes and shoes!!!

A comment from the article: "Hmmmm, opens in March and closes in July? What kind of business plan were they using exactly?"

The same model Solyndra used.

She sure is a handsome woman.

Ah shucks, anytime a buffet closes a piece of me dies. Just come on down to the WYO where we just gave away an $800,000 subsidy to help my restaurateur friend open up a new eatery. It's worth it to give me one more place to eat a ton.

It's just so unfair! I blame Kasich.

Jewels you should have kept your married name when you ran for city council. It worked for our family members.

You right-wingers and that organized crime family you like to call the Republican Party are the problem here. George Bush gave tax breaks for companies to move overseas. Mitt Romney sent jobs overseas. Bob Taft played golf with Tom Noe. The GOP got us into war for their personal fun and profit. That's why restaurants are closing in Springdale.

We still love you.

I was driving through Springdale the other day on my way to Forest Park (please don't ask what I was doing near the Obama camapign offices) and I thought Springdale was a nice city. Its diversity and opportunity reminded me of what I experienced when I was a John Kerry campaign operative in New York City. Not that Springdale reminded me of NYC. It reminded me of New Jersey. But that's beside the point. I know that the tax hikes that Julie and her father have wholeheartedly supported will be the key to victory this November. I see Springdale being a veritable treasure trove of votes for Obama, which will be great... I mean, very bad for us. Yeah, vote Romney. That's the ticket.

Tri-County mall's occupancy rate is about as high as that of the empty office complex that Campaign Expert Matheny, PhD "runs".

Out of my loyalty to the Websters and especially my Kenwood and Sycamore Township frenlies, I am boycotting this new shoe store.

Here's a campaign event hosted by a conservative for a conservative, so naturally we are totally blowing it off. No way we're hanging around any smelly west siders in 100-degree weather, even with ice cream and all. https://www.google.com/calendar/event?eid=YnI2bjVmdnF0cXBzOGxuMGVwajN2OG1wYTQgaGFtaWx0b25jb3VudHlnb3BAbQ&ctz=America/New_York&gsessionid=OK

Good job tax hikers, you guys made today's Whistleblower:

"Republicans for Higher Taxes discuss the latest round of business closings in the declining city of Springdale. Perhaps Springdale’s leaders should consider that all the property tax increases they’ve been supporting have driven up costs and forced more companies out of businesses.

"For example, earlier this year the Princeton School District was on the ballot with a big property tax increase, even though they were already spending more money per student than 98% of Ohio’s school districts. But that wasn’t enough. This destructive tax increase was supported by each member of the Springdale City Council, Mayor “Royal” Doyle Webster, and Springdale Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Julie “Campaign Expert” Matheny who conveniently enough is also the Mayor’s daughter. With two more businesses closing in Springdale, those high-tax chickens are already coming home to roost."

Senator Bill, you Need to visit Springdale if you think Jewels is doing well there, it may cause you to reconsider what we hear is your interest in having her succeed you in the Senate.

I can't believe you wrote an article about two restaurants closing and fat slob Craig Hochscheid (aka CincyCapell) still hasn't waddled in here to overwhelm us with his intellectual analysis about why these places failed.

These father-daughter Republican Party legends (in their own minds) in Springdale have done very little to grow our party in this area. There is no Republican organization in Springdale. In Green Township, however, there is this outstanding organization.

Be sure to BOYCOTT this event tomorrow! We cannot have a conservative raising money for another conservative! The hosts are allies of dreaded conservatives like Steve Chabot and Chris Monzel. We should only let pro-tax and pro-abortion women get involved in the Republican Party!

Jewels, if those nasty, evil right-wing haters hadn't defeated me with a military veteran, then I would be able to see to it that food stamps would be accepted by restaurants. That would have certainly helped those restuarants stay open, wouldn't it?

Sorry I've been on vacation.

Hey, which Congressional District is Springdale in again? Let us know next time you have a parade. We will be glad to march in it, especially if, as with Mason's parade, you're not in the district.

Kels and I will try to get 5 or 6 of our closest friends in and then go hit the bars afterwards. The bars in Butler County, that is. We know Springdale's scene is lame.

Hey everyone, please tell us our boycott of Heather Harlow's ice cream social was successful?

Campaign Expert Matheny said...

Heck yes it was successful. It totally killed us to stay away from all that ice cream. It was worth it though to send the message that we don't want any conservative women involved in the party!

Princess Margaret said...

I boycotted the event too of course. I'll stay away from all those smelly, sweaty inbred West Siders. I hear some of my buds from Green Township were there thought. You guys are true heroes for enduring the Colerain Stench and representing the good people of the Republican Party.

Citizens for Tom Weidman said...

We honored the boycott.

Senator Bill said...

DR. PETE KAMBELOS IS A GREAT AND HONORABLE DOCTOR BUT THERE IS NO WAY ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH I AM DRAGGING MY REAR END OUT TO COLERAIN TOWNSHIP IN THE MIDDLE OF A THUNDERSTORM FOR SOME ICE CREAM!!!!

EVERYONE IN COLERAIN IGNORES MY CALL FOR TAX HIKES AND THEY THINK I AM THE GREATEST BECAUSE I TELL IT LIKE IT IS. SO I AM NOT GOING TO HONOR SOME SILLY BOYCOTT PUT ON BY SOME WANNABE ACTIVIST LIKE WHOEVER IN GOD'S NAME SUGGESTED THAT FOOLISH THING. BUT YOU CAN ALSO BET YOUR BOTTOM DOLLAR I'D NEVER GO ALL THE WAY OUT THERE FOR SOME ICE CREAM!!!!

NEXT TIME I WOULD CONSIDER ATTENDING IF THE HARLOWS WOULD HAVE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION MY BEVERAGE PREFERENCES.

this was a fine outstanding boycott engineered by some of my favorite ladies in the Republican Party: Campaign Expert Matheny, Merri An Crusty, Ms. Vicky Zwiss, and the incomparable Princess Margaret. You three ladies, plus the lovely Leslie, have made it clear that there is no place in the Republican Party for these evil conservatives who believe in things like less government and lower taxes. Only tax-hiking pro-abortion, pro-gun-control women are welcome in the Republican Party.

Alex T said...

You know, the Greeks invented boycotts.

Other than former Colerain Township Trusee and current Regional Director for Secretary of State Jon Husted Keith Corman, there were a few township trustees, candidates for county and state offices, a judge, and about 40-50 other people who don't really count for much.

I coudn't claim credit so I stayed away.
