Northwest School Board seeks higher taxes

Dear fellow tax hikers, we applaud the Northwest School Board for placing an impressive property tax increase on the November ballot.  On a 4-1 vote they approved a 4.95 mill tax hike which would raise taxes on the undertaxed Northwest residents by $151.59 per $100,000 of home value.  We enthusiastically endorse this necessary property tax hike.

We strongly condemn School Board Member Dan Unger for voting against this fantastic tax.  Unger is a fiscal conservative who believes that government needs to consider the taxpayers along with the tax receivers when setting the rate of taxation.  We could not disagree more.  Anytime the government wants more money we should be willing to give them more.

We applaud liberal Northwest School Board President David Denny for supporting this tax increase and setting Unger straight.  Denny stated, "the superintendent and the treasurer you hired – have told us this is what we need to do."  Doesn't Unger know that he is supposed to obey the Superintendent and Treasurer, even though they are hired by and report to the School Board?

Under Ohio law, the School Board is elected to set policy for their school district.  Therefore, under no circumstances should School Board members take the initiative to set policy for their school district.

School Boards are responsible for hiring, firing, and supervising the Superintendent and Treasurer.  Thank goodness we have intelligent liberal School Board Presidents like Denny who understand that to mean they must blindly obey the Superintendent and Treasurer when they want more money.  After all, taxpayers exist to serve the government.  We expect all you Northwest School District residents to cut your budget so the School Board can increase theirs.

I blame John Kasich for cutting the budget and putting so many teachers, police, and fire-fighters out on the street.

Woo hooooo! There's nothing that excites me more than higher property taxes. Just look at all the Princeton property tax increases I've endorsed, even as I complain about Barack Obama's support for higher taxes.

Would you guys please hire me to run this important campaign? I'm a campaign expert! And between being the Springdale Chamber Executive Director and managing an office complex with more vacancies than tenants, I have LOTS of free time available.

Do you think maybe we might get some love for the best tax hiking couple in Hamilton County? We've pushed for at least as many gigantic tax increases as the High Tax Adamecs!

Since I am still bitter from losing an election in 2003, I a, going to file a zillion public records requests against these tax-hikers. Oh wait, this is for the schools. Never mind. Please tax me more. I will even use my membership in the Tea Party to endorse this tax hike. That worked so well when I tried to claim the Tea Party supported Tom Hart for Colerain Township Fiscal Officer.

I will not come to any of their fund-raisers unless they're in Green Township and they keep those smelly inbred stinky slobs from Colerain Township out of there. Except Jeff, Dennis, Buzz, and Mindy. You guys are the only people with any class in Colerain Township.

Kathy, I am just as bitter over your defeat in 2003 as you are. As you can tell here.

When the Republican Party supports tax hikes like this, it makes me feel as though I never left the Democrat Party.

Unger needs to get with the program. We need votes and this tax increase will be supported by voters. See the connection? You people have to understand that we are in business to win elections. This whole principled stance things is a bunch of hogwash and will not be tollerated.

We can't wait to get our membership behind this massive tax increase.

Never mind that our membership is dwindling and businesses are leaving Colerain Township in droves.

We need to have something to do in the years when the odious fiscal conservatives Heather Harlow and Dan Unger are not on the ballot.

BROTHER UNGER, YOU ARE A FINE MAN BUT THE FACT IS THAT JOHN KASICH AND MOST OF THE REPUBLICANS IN COLUMBUS (PRESENT COMPANY EXCLUDED) HATE AND I DO MEAN HATE PUBLIC EDUCATION AND ARE LOOKING TO CUT IT AND TO LOOT THE BUDGET FOR PRIVATIZING TO THEIR FRIENDS. NEVER MIND THAT I VOTED FOR THAT BUDGET. NEVER MIND THAT I CLAIM TO HAVE OPPOSED SENATE BILL 5 BECAUSE IT HURT OUR POLICE AND OUR FIREMEN.

THE REALL REASON I OPPOSED SENATE BILL 5 AND THE REAL REASON DAN UNGER NEEDS TO SUPPORT THIS LEVY IS THAT OUR PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS NEED MORE OF YOUR HARD-EARNED DOLLARS TO KEEP THE NORTHWEST LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT EXCELLENT.

RAISING TAXES TO SUPPORT OHIO'S EXCELLENCE IS EXACTLY WHY I JOINED WITH JEANNIE SCHMIDT, BOB TAFT AND JON HUSTED AND KEPT RAISING OHIO'S SALES TAX, KEPT RAISING OHIO'S DEATH TAX AND KEPT RAISING OHIO'S GAS TAX. WE NEED TO RAISE REVENUE TO SUPPORT ALL THE EXCELLENT GOVERNMENT OHIO HAS TO OFFER.

We get our levies passed, unlike you fat slobs in Rumpketown.

We're proud of our tax-hiking power couple, the Adamecs.

As usual, West Siders try to imitate what we do over here in God's Country, and, as usual they fail miserably at it.

We shouldn't be too hard on Northwest Local and Colerain Township, though. They do a great job of collecting our garbage and keeping it forever. It's so nice of them to keep our air smelling nice and clean for us. It's one of the things that keeps us growing our population and expanding our tax base, while they wallow in our waste.
