Janey Kattelman for Sharonville Mayor

Dear fellow tax hikers, we have made our decision regarding the replacement of our good friend Virgil Lovitt as Sharonville Mayor.  Though there are many fine choices, we enthusiastically endorse former Councilwoman Janey Kattelman for Sharonville Mayor.  Janie's unwavering dedication to big government places her a cut above the rest.

Janey has been a long-time supporter and one of the closest friends of our 2008 Tax Hiker of the Year Virgil Lovitt.  Janey has been with Virg every tax-hiking step of the way.

Janey is so dedicated to big government that she left the Republican Party in 2011 to run as an independent, never mind that Sharonville Republicans are some of the best tax-and-spenders in Ohio.  Even Virg didn't do that.  He served proudly as a top tax-and-spend Republican. Sadly, Janey lost this race to her more conservative opponent, and she and her husband have been bitter ever since.

A major reason for this move was Janey's obsessive support for the taxpayer-subsidized Sharonville Fine Arts Center, known to many as Janey's Playhouse.  This so-called economic development tool has been so successful that it's required 3 different taxpayer bailouts.  Janey knows this place cannot fail.  If it requires higher taxes from Sharonville's residents and workers, then that is the price that must be paid for Janey's Playhouse to live on.

Sharonville Republicans meet on January 7th to make their decision.  This process is being handled by none other than Paul Kattelman, Janey's husband.  We encourage Paul to rig the system in favor of his wife.  Forget the taxpayers, do what's best for yourselves.  And finally, get your revenge on those who voted Janey out of office.  Janey Kattelman for Sharonville Mayor!

My friend Janey would be a wonderful Mayor! Like me she is a great tax hiker and great friends with Virgil Lovitt who was an awesome Mayor. Most importantly she is a WOMAN.

We women have been reeling ever since Jean Schmidt's tragic defeat. Janey as mayor would relieve some of the pain.

For the past 50 or so years, Sharonville has been ruled by the Dowlin, Lovitt, and Kattelman families.

Dynasties. Aren't they a great way to take care of friends and families with taxpayer dollars?

This is exactly the kind of cronyism and insider dealing I constantly rail against when it happens in Colerain Township.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to my taxpayer-funded job at the county working for a man for whom I publicly campaigned before he hired me.

Appointing people based on family connections? Hiring people because of their bloodlines and friendships?

That's how we roll in Green Township!

The insider machinations remind me so much of the byzantine world of New York City Democrat politics I left behind when I began my quest to infiltrate Republican Party politics in Ohio. Sharonville also reminds me a lot of home too. Not Manhattan, mind you, but the rundown business districts, the overpriced and underperforming public schools, the prostitution centers and all the other trappings of a declining community remind me a great deal of certain parts of Queens and the Bronx.

Virgil has got to have some untalented kid they can give this to right? Perhaps someone who never bothered to take an interest in Republican politics, never took the time to assist other Republican campaigns, and never made a contribution to a Republican candidate? Maybe someone who could leapfrog more qualified candidated because of a familiar last name in spite of the undeniable fact that they are socially inept? You know, someone like that really deserves it.

Oh, please, let us know when there is a new mayor selected! I can't wait to go shopping for a new dress and matching shoes and handbag! Working in politics is such a stressful and time-consuming job. You have no idea all the hours we professional women in politics put into our careers. There are some certain nameless elected officials who really need to learn to appreciate how hard we work and the great job we do to support candidates like them. Such uncouth ingrates out there. We're such hard-working professionals constantly having to deal with occupational hazards such as those smelly, sweaty icky west siders constantly trying to hang around us. Ewww gross.

Hey now, we're proud to be jobless bums living off our welfare checks, but don't you ever call us COASTers!

WE ARE ISSUIING A JOINT STATEMENT COMMENDING THE GOOD PEOPLE OF THE SHARONVILLE REPUBLICAN PARTY FOR SELECTING THE YOUNG MAN AND CITY COUNCILMEMBER KEVIN HARDMAN FOR SHARONVILLE MAYOR.

THE YOUNG MR. HARDMAN HAS A LONG AND DISTINGUISHED HISTORY OF SPEAKING LIKE A CONSERVATIVE YET SUPPORTING TAX HIKES AS THOUGH THEY WERE GOING OUT OF STYLE. HE IS FOLLOWING IN OUR FOOTSTEPS AND WE WISH HIM THE VERY BEST.

AS WE ENTER THE SUNSET YEARS OF OUR POLITICAL CAREERS, IT GIVES US GREAT JOY TO SEE THE YOUNG MR. HARDMAN COMING ALONG TO CONTINUE OUR POLICIES OF SPEAKING LIKE A CONSERVATIVE YET SUPPORTING TAXES LIKE THEY'RE AN ENDANGERED SPECIES. AS LONG AS PEOPLE SUCH AS KEVIN HARDMAN REMAIN COMMITTED TO PUBLIC SERVICE, OUR COUNTRY, OUR STATE, AND OUR COUNTY WILL BE IN GREAT HANDS.
